 1. Make your signature using your favorite Photo Editor. I use Photoshop. But if you do not have photoshop you can use PicMonkey.  I believe that the standard size for a signature should be at least 200×70. Not too big but not too small.
2. Upload your signature picture to your favorite image host. I use Photobucket.com to host all of my images.
3. Copy the direct link of the image and paste it within this code: *Replace only the part that is highlighted in yellow “YOUR IMAGE URL“. Do not remove quotations.
<img class="left" alt="post signature" src="YOUR-IMAGE-URL">
Should look like this:
<img alt="post signature" src="http://i1110.photobucket.com/yourimage.png" />
4. Log in to your blogger account (if you haven’t already) and go to “Settings”.  Under “Settings” click on “Posts and Comments”. In the box that says “Post Template”, paste the above code with image url in the box. If you want the signature to be centered, just simply add the center tags.
5.  Then click on “Save Settings” at the top.
6. Please Note: The signature will not show up on previous posts but on future post that you draft.

Convert any Video to ASCII using VLC Media Player

No comments:
VLC is a video player with a lot of tricks. While you definitely would be aware about converting videoswith it, the feature of converting any video to ASCII is one that is slightly less known. As ASCII version ofmovies like Star wars are very popular online, I think this feature of this amazing media player can be used to have lots of fun.

VLC ASCII
An example of a video in ASCII form

All you need to do is open any video and VLC will automatically display its converted form. To convert any video in ASCII, just follow the steps given below:-

1) Open VLC Media Player.
2) Click on the Tools menu and in the drop down list, click on Preferences at the bottom of the list.
3) Click on Video icon in the left sidebar.
4) Click on the drop down box next to Output.
5) Select "Color ASCII art video output" from the drop down list.
6) Click Save and restart VLC.

Older versions of VLC might require you to modify these settings under the Advance tab or All Settings tab. As VLC runs on a variety of OSs, this trick will work on any PC capable of running this media player. However, it is interesting to point out that older PCs having poor hardware will slow down and give a stuttered output.

5 Myths About Mark Zuckerberg

No comments:

There's lots of chatter out there about Mark Zuckerberg. As one of the richest people in the world, and someone who made his fortune at a very young age, that's not surprising. It's also not surprising that many of us feel we know him pretty well -- even if we've never met him -- because we've seen the movie "The Social Network."
"The Social Network" portrays Zuckerberg in very stark, prickly terms. Many people who have seen the movie end up strongly disliking him, even if they also admire him a little for thumbing his nose at the status quo.
Of course, "The Social Network" is just a movie. And we all know movies, even biopics like this one, don't necessarily tell the entire truth. Furthermore, "The Social Network" was made without the cooperation of Zuckerberg or his close associates, with the exception of providing some biographical info and pointing out some of his past speeches [source: The Economic Times].
So what's the truth versus myth when it comes to hoodie-clad Zuckerberg? No one will know for sure except him. But here are five common descriptions of Zuckerberg that others strongly disagree with and say are made up, or pretty big exaggerations.

10 Amazing, Beautiful, TERRIFYING Spiders

In the 1977 low-budget horror film "Kingdom of the Spiders," which probably represented the nadir of actor William Shatner's career after the original "Star Trek" TV series, terrified, shrieking humans are threatened by an army of tarantulas who've been turned into mutant killers by pesticides [source: Murray].
But even if you missed that one on Netflix, there's a fair-to-middling chance that spiders make you at least a little apprehensive. One 2012 study estimated that 7 percent of the U.S. population suffers from arachnophobia, a pathological fear of the multilegged, crawling little creatures [source: Lutz].
Spiders tend to give us the creeps partly because our brains were hard-wired by evolution to dislike angular shapes -- such as those of spider legs -- and make bad associations with the dark colors that often adorn spiders. Additionally, our eyes are designed to spot rapidly moving objects on the edge of our vision field, which in turn tend to trigger a fear response [source: Cohen].
But it's kind of crazy to be afraid of spiders. While there are a few venomous species -- such as the black widow and brown recluse spiders -- most aren't dangerous to humans. Indeed, many are beneficial because they eat other pests in our homes and gardens [sources: CDC, Waldvogel and Apperson].
And if you can get over your fear and take a good look, some spiders are even beautiful. Here are 10 of the most fascinating -- and OK, a little scary -- ones around.

Top 5 Tips for Preventing Dandruff

You might have an enviable head of hair that is thick and shiny and a wardrobe that is fashionable and well-kept. But if you have dandruff, your mane and attire may go unnoticed. Instead, the focus may be on those flakes lingering on your shoulders, back and scalp.
Dandruff is a very common, generally harmless scalp condition that affects at least 50 percent of the human population [source: P&G Beauty Science]. Frustratingly, there are many possible causes of dandruff. Sometimes either dry or oily skin can be to blame. So can skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis. In some cases, a yeast fungus called malassezia or an oily skin condition called seborrheic dermatitis can cause the flaking.
The good news is that dandruff is usually quite easy to treat. The hair care aisle at your local drugstore or supermarket probably has a number of shampoos, conditioners and special preparations designed to eliminate the embarrassing condition. There are even prescription solutions available. But as with many other health conditions, prevention is usually the best treatment. So, if you're prone to the itchy scalp and telltale flakes of dandruff, learn how to keep them at bay with a few simple preventive measures. In no time, your luxurious locks and trendy threads will once again steal the show.

10 Amazing Things People's Brains Have Done

No comments:

The human brain can do some amazing things - and humans can do amazing things because of it. Just to name one example, we can accept light along the visible wavelength reflected from objects in our environment into our eyes. Our optic nerves convert that light into electrochemical impulses, which is the language the brain uses to communicate. As this electricity passes along a neural network, it reaches the hippocampus, the region of the brain responsible for analyzing and categorizing these impulses.
These categories determine which region of the brain receives the impulses routed by the hippocampus. So, an impulse sent to the visual cortex suddenly becomes a large green metal road sign that we understand as our exit. We veer the car off the highway and continue on toward the grocery store happy as a lark.
Even the most mundane operations of our brains are pretty amazing. Those feats, however, are nothing compared to some of the things that a small handful of people's brains have done. What follows, in no particular order, is a tidy list of some of the most amazing -- and horrible -- things that people's brains have ever done.

Top 10 Ways to Make Money on the Internet

Spoken-Word Artist Rives on the Internet
Unless you're a freegan and have found a way to live entirely off the grid, you probably need some sort of steady income in order to survive. The traditional way to earn money, of course, is by having a job. You work for a company or start your own, and the work you do earns you money, which you spend on things like a mortgage, rent, food, clothing, utilities and entertainment.
Most people typically work from their company's central location, a physical space where everyone from that organization gathers to exchange ideas and organize their efforts.
But a few lucky souls have found ways to make money within the comfort of their own home. With the Internet, an ever-changing arena for businesses, some people looking to earn money are finding ways to do so. Some forms are best for part-time endeavors for those looking to make a little extra money on the side, while others can lead to full-time jobs and Internet success stories.
We've put together a list of our top 10 ways to make money on the Internet, in no particular order. On the next page, we'll start with an old favorite.

5 of the World's Rarest Skin Conditions

You've probably seen pictures or at least heard of the old "freak shows" once shown at traveling carnivals and circuses. They'd feature such rarities as "Siamese" (conjoined) twins or "werewolf boys" with faces covered in hair.
Such exhibitions have fallen out of favor because they're now considered insensitive and politically incorrect. And yet, we still follow news stories about whether an operation successfully separates conjoined twins and films that focus on uncommon physical conditions, such as "The Elephant Man," "The Others" and "Stuck on You." Their popularity speaks to people's enduring fascination with rare, unusual conditions.
In this article, we'll take a look at a few of the rarest and most interesting skin conditions that have been known to affect people all over the world. In fact, the famous "Blue Man" of the Barnum and Bailey show suffered from a condition we'll cover in this article.
Many of the conditions range the spectrum from impeding a person's normal lifestyle to even becoming life-threatening. And all of these conditions have fascinated and bewildered doctors throughout the years.
Up first, we'll look at a condition that can happen as the reaction to simply taking medication.

10 Ways Sitting Wrecks Your Body

No comments:

In 2012 it was rumored that a Taiwanese teen died after gaming for 40 consecutive hours [source: HuffPo]. Death by "Diablo 3"? As it turns out, the tabloids may have gotten one thing right about that story -- apparently when you sit for extended periods of time, the Grim Reaper sits beside you.
When you indulge in just 30 minutes of TV watching -- not even close to 40 hours at a time -- you burn about one calorie per minute (that's the estimate for a person weighing 155 pounds) -- and that's not much; in comparison it's only about a third of the calories that would be used if that time were spent walking, and pretty close to the amount burned during a 30-minute nap (about 23 calories). While the amount of calories burned may seem pretty similar between the two activities, sleep is important for good health and memory, and sitting, well, as it turns out it may be hurting you [source: Harvard Heart Letter].
Think about how often you sit during the day; at the desk at the office, in meetings, in class, at home in front of the TV or game console -- and don't forget about all the time spent sitting in your car or during your daily commute. All those hours add up, and in recent years it's estimated we spend nearly eight hours sitting every day on average -- and some research suggests we actually may be sitting as much as 15 hours every day. Considering we need about eight hours of sleep every night, that leaves some of us with only about an hour on our feet. Excessive sitting, more than two hours a day, is referred to as 'sitting disease' among health professionals, and is associated with some major -- and perhaps surprising -- health problems, as well as an overall shorter life expectancy.

How To Hack The Sky

No comments:
Satellites can bring a digital signal to places where the Internet seems like a miracle: off-the-grid desert solar farms, the Arctic or an aircraft carrier at sea. But in beaming data to and from the world’s most remote places, satellite Internet may also offer its signal to a less benign recipient: any digital miscreant within thousands of miles.
In a presentation at the Black Hat security conference in Arlington, Va., Tuesday, Spanish cybersecurity researcher Leonardo Nve presented a variety of tricks for gaining access to and exploiting satellite Internet connections. Using less than $75 in tools, Nve, a researcher with security firm S21Sec, says that he can intercept Digital Video Broadcast (DVB) signals to get free high-speed Internet. And while that’s not a particularly new trick–hackers have long been able to intercept satellite TV or other sky-borne signals–Nve also went a step further, describing how he was able to use satellite signals to anonymize his Internet connection, gain access to private networks and even intercept satellite Internet users’ requests for Web pages and replace them with spoofed sites.
“What’s interesting about this is that it’s very, very easy,” says Nve. “Anyone can do it: phishers or Chinese hackers … it’s like a very big Wi-Fi network that’s easy to access.”
In a penetration test on a client’s network, Nve used a Skystar 2 PCI satellite receiver card, a piece of hardware that can be bought on eBay for $30 or less, along with open source Linux DVB software applications and the network data analysis or “sniffing” tool Wireshark.
Exploiting that signal, Nve says he was able to impersonate any user connecting to the Internet via satellite, effectively creating a high-speed, untraceable anonymous Internet connection that that can be used for nefarious online activities.
Nve also reversed the trick, impersonating Web sites that a satellite user is attempting to visit by intercepting a Domain Name System (DNS) request–a request for an Internet service provider (ISP) to convert a spelled out Web site name into the numerical IP address where it’s stored–and sending back an answer faster than the ISP. That allows him to replace a Web site that a user navigates to directly with a site of his choosing, creating the potential for undetectable cybercrime sites that steal passwords or installs malicious software.
In his tests on the client’s network, Nve says he was also able to hijack signals using GRE or TCP protocols that enterprises use to communicate between PCs and servers or between offices, using the connections to gain access to a corporation or government agency’s local area network.
The Barcelona-based researcher tested his methods on geosynchronous satellites aimed at Europe, Africa and South America. But he says there’s little doubt that the same tricks would work on satellites facing North America or anywhere else.
What makes his attacks possible, Nve says, is that DVB signals are usually left unencrypted. That lack of simple security, he says, stems from the logistical and legal complications of scrambling the signal, which might make it harder to share data among companies or agencies and–given that a satellite signal covers many countries–could run into red tape surrounding international use of cryptography. “Each [country] can have its own law for crypto,” says Nve. “It’s easier not to have encryption at the DVB layer.”

Nve isn’t the first to show the vulnerability of supposedly secure satellite connections. John Walker, a British satellite enthusiast, told the BBC in 2002 that he could watch unencrypted NATO video feeds from surveillance sorties in the Balkans. And the same lack of encryption allowed insurgents to hack into the video feed of unmanned U.S. drone planes scouting Afghanistan, the Wall Street Journal reported in December.
In fact, the techniques that Nve demonstrated are probably known to other satellite hackers but never publicized, says Jim Geovedi, a satellite security researcher and consultant with the firm Bellua in Indonesia. He compares satellite hacking to early phone hacking or “phreaking,” a practice that’s not well protected against but performed by only a small number of people worldwide. “This satellite hacking thing is still considered blackbox knowledge,” he wrote in an e-mail to Forbes. “I believe there are many people out there who conduct similar research. They may have some cool tricks but have kept them secret for ages.”
At last year’s Black Hat D.C. conference, British cybersecurity researcher Adam Laurie demonstrated how he intercepts satellite signals with techniques similar to Nve, using a DreamBox satellite receiver and Wireshark. But Nve argues that his method is far cheaper–Laurie’s DreamBox setup cost around $750–and that he’s the first to demonstrate satellite signal hijacking rather than mere interception.
“I’m not just talking about watching TV,” says Nve. “I’m talking about doing some very scary things.”

5 Home Workout Safety Tips for Men

If you're a guy, you probably know that men tend to view working out as a sport, and generally are pretty competitive when it comes to fitness. But they're also less likely than women to work with trainers, enroll in beginner fitness classes or even seek advice about training [source: Sorgen]. This drive to push your workout limits without proper preparation or taking the necessary precautions could result in safety risks that lead to injuries -- particularly when you're working out at home without supervision from fitness instructors. And that can be a major setback in your overall fitness plan.
Working out at home is a convenient way to stay in shape without the hassle of making it to the gym every day. But especially if you have the tendency to overdo it while exercising, it's important to take a few extra steps to make sure you don't end up hurt. Read on to learn five tips that can make your home workout a little safer.

5 Personal Hygiene Tips for Men

If your mother ever washed your mouth with soap for saying a bad word, we can understand where your aversion to good hygiene came from. But most of us don't have that excuse, and besides -- it's time to grow up.
When there's no one around to tell you not to, do you live in a den of filth? An Everest of cereal bowls in the sink, dirty underwear on the floor, damp towels on the bed? If the answer is yes, chances are, it's pretty obvious without you having to answer.

Not that you have spaghetti in your beard or anything -- you probably just look like someone who doesn't take care of himself. And who wants to be the grown man who doesn't know how to live like a grown-up once he's moved out of his parents' place?

Some say that the only time a man really starts sprucing up is when he's trying to sleep with someone, but we'd like to believe the others are simply lacking proper instruction. We have five tips for either type.

10 Weirdest Things Spotted by the TSA

No comments:

t's 5:43 a.m. on a Tuesday, and you're standing bleary-eyed in the airport security line hoping to make your flight to Dallas. All around you, blue-uniformed Transportation Security Agency (TSA) officers are barking out instructions. "Please remove all shoes, belts, wallets, cell phones and keys!" "Please take out all laptop computers and place them in a separate bin!" "Please place all gels and liquids in a zip-top bag!"
Shuffling along in your socks, your belt-less pants slowly slipping south, you pass a sign displaying the list of prohibited items: guns, knives, Tasers, lighters, fireworks, combustible liquids. As you hand your photo ID to the TSA agent, you can't help but wonder if this is all a huge waste of time. After all, how many morons really try to bring a gun onto an airplane in this age of post-9/11 hyper-security?
According to the TSA, exactly 1,813 of them in 2013.
That's the number of firearms that TSA officers discovered in carry-on bags. Even crazier, 81 percent of those guns were loaded [source: Burns].
For the record, a TSA spokesperson informed us that agents do not confiscate contraband items. They allow a passenger to give the item to the friend who dropped him off; to mail it somewhere or to surrender it to the TSA. Most choose the latter.
When it comes to weird things found by TSA agents, guns are just the tip of the psycho iceberg. Keep reading to hear about bold travelers who tried to smuggle bags of live eels, chain saws and human skull fragments through security. Just be thankful you weren't behind them in line.

5 Ways to Flirt with a Girl You're Friends With

You may think she's perfect, but she may think you're just a friend. How do you change things?
John Giustina/Getty Images
To you, she's absolutely perfect. She's got a gorgeous face, perfect body, brilliant mind -- in short, she's the girl of your dreams. To her, however, you're a "really nice guy."
It's not easy to make that huge relationship leap from friend to boyfriend, especially when you've been friends for a long time. Guys have turned friendships into forever, especially in movies (In the 1989 film "When Harry Met Sally," Harry finally convinced Sally after years of fighting and making up). It just takes some delicate maneuvering to make the transition, because as soon as you throw the words "I like you" out there, they'll hang in the air between the two of you forever, especially if your feelings aren't reciprocated.
Before you reveal how you feel about her, we have a few suggestions on starting a flirtation. If she didn't already like you as more than a friend, she's sure to see you in a new light once you lay one of these techniques on her.

10 Worst Ways to Die

While religion and politics are two topics that are considered taboo for polite conversation, there's no denying they can get a boring cocktail party hopping, fast. Let the same be said for an attempt to engage a passing acquaintance in banter about what --in his or her opinion -- is the absolute worst way to die.
What, are you unsure of how to begin? You've come to the right place. In the next few pages, we'll provide plenty of information, sources and grisly details to create or bolster nearly any argument one could have about the worst ways to die.
Yes, from animals gnawing at you as you watch them -- fully cognizant -- to how your mind must embrace and accept death as you spend much too long hurtling toward Earth in a crashing plane, you'll find loads of ways to both spice up (or end!) any cursory conversation.
Settle in as we begin with a discussion of starving to death.

10 Tips on How to Get a Ripped Back

No comments:

A ripped back looks good. That's why all of us guys want one. But did you know it can help you feel good, too? Since the back is the starting point for many of the movements you go through in a typical day, strength in the upper, middle and lower back is integral to your overall health. Think about it -- when you push yourself up out of bed you're using your back. When you reach for something on a shelf or bend over to pick up a child you're relying on your center of gravity, your core … your back.
The largest back muscles are the lattissimus dorsi (lats), which enfold your body below the armpits and down your back. The deltoids spread over the outer portion of your shoulders. The trapezius muscles cover the inner portion of the shoulders and extend down into the middle of the back. Finally, your lower back consists of the rectus abdominis and obliques.
Now that you're familiar with the back's major muscle groups and the benefits of a strong core, let's get to sculpting a well-defined and healthy you. We begin by going old-school.

5 Important Questions to Ask Your Partner Before Getting Into Bed

No comments:

Let's be honest: Life is a whole lot more complicated these days. That goes for our sex lives as well. Long gone are the days when the most prevalent question asked before a tryst between consenting adults was "Will you respect me in the morning?" Ah, if only things were so simple.
Today, sex is as popular as ever, ranging from long-standing relationships to one-night flings. But "carnal knowledge" still comes with a whole host of personal and physical issues, many of them posing considerable health risks. From "open marriages" to "friends with benefits" to myriad sexually transmitted diseases, coupling -- or at least the circumstances surrounding the act -- has become infinitely more problematic.
So, while asking personal, and even intimate questions, may not be ideal for the romantic mood, it's the responsible thing to do. And responsibility comes with the territory of being an adult. If you're not conscientious, the consequences can be prickly at best, and severe -- even potentially life-threatening -- at worst.
First of all, are you really single?

10 Futurist Predictions in the World of Technology

No comments:

Futurists can dish out some exciting and downright scary visions for the future of machines and science that either enhance or replace activities and products near and dear to us.
Being beamed from one location to another by teleportation was supposed to be right around the corner/in our lifetime/just decades away, but it hasn't become possible yet. Inventions like the VCR that were once high tech -- and now aren't -- proved challenging for some: The VCR became obsolete before many of us learned how to program one. And who knew that working with atoms and molecules would become the future of technology? The futurists, of course.
Forecasting the future of technology is for dreamers who hope to innovate better tools -- and for the mainstream people who hope to benefit from the new and improved. Many inventions are born in the lab and never make it into the consumer market, while others evolve beyond the pace of putting good regulations on their use.
Next, we'll take a look at some sound-loving atoms, tiny tools for molecules, huge bunches of data and some disgruntled bands of people who may want to set all of this innovation back with the stroke of a keyboard.

10 Ways You Can Tell If a Girl Likes You

No comments:

You sit behind a girl in math class who you're secretly smitten with, and you pump yourself up each day to summon enough courage to ask her out before the bell rings. But your nerves always seem to get the best of you. You walk on to the next class without a Friday night date. Again.
Guys, we know you've all been there at one time or another. You want to ask out a certain girl, but you can't tell if she likes you enough to say yes. Most of you would probably rather bungee jump off of the Golden Gate Bridge than risk being rejected. And, yes, the thought of rejection is terrifying -- we'll give you that. On the flip side, she could secretly be interested in you, too, so we encourage you to overcome your fears, take a risk and ask her out.
So, how can you tell if a girl likes you enough to go on a date with you? Cracking the code to a girl's heart certainly isn't easy, but here's the good news -- guys just like you have been looking into the issue for hundreds of years, and you can benefit from that. We have the research at your disposal. If you look hard enough and pay attention to the signals, the clues are there. You just need to know what to look for -- and we're here to help by sharing 10 big hints that a girl is into you.

5 Tips on How to Get Big Arms

No comments:

You probably already know that the secret to big arms isn't a secret at all. Just lift weights, eat nutritious food and repeat, right? Well, there are some helpful pieces of information that can move you closer to your objective in a shorter time. For example, you may not know that bicep development is not the key to "big guns." In addition, what you do in your kitchen can be as important as what you do in the weight room. And despite what some slick, late-night commercial might suggest, cranking out curls isn't the most effective way to put inches on your arms.
It won't be an overnight transformation but you can get big arms. All you need is motivation, discipline and the fitness wisdom accumulated by others who had the same goal and reached it. So let's get to work!
